NY, NY (Oct. 6, 2009)— The country may still be stuck in the middle of a prolonged economic recession, but don’t tell that to the partners of Finroo.com, a recently launched limited edition t-shirt company.   Countering the conventional wisdom, which instructs us that prices naturally decline during downturns, Finroo has amazingly decided to increase the price of its Black Label shirts, which now cost an amazing $95 a shirt!

As a limited edition, bamboo silk shirt company, Finroo has always catered to an exclusive, fashion conscious crowd.  Over the past month, however, Finroo has taken wearable art to a different level with the launch of its new limited edition Black, Platinum, Gold, and Purple labels.

“We figured out pretty quickly that one size definitely didn’t fit all when it came to personalized, limited edition shirts.  So we decided to experiment with different lines of limit (200/100/50/25).    It really differentiated us from other high end, graphic art shirt companies,” said Eric Yohay, President.

Finroo prints its international graphic art designs on organic bamboo silk, which is the ultimate fabric for soft shirt lovers and environmentalists alike.    It’s hard to argue with the fact that these are the softest, most durable, and most eco-friendly shirts on the block.   It still begs the question, though, will people pony up more than $50 for a shirt?

“If you look at the high end shirt market, people are willing to pay a lot for boutique brands.  At a certain point, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy: the shirts are perceived to be trendy and exclusive because they are expensive.   Since our label prices are based on edition size— all the way from $27.99 to $95— our customers actually know what they paying for.   It’s true exclusivity, not just some easily forged logo or phony luxury perception,” said Ben Plesser, Director of Business Development

Finroo is betting on a bold new game in high end, designer shirts.   Now it’s time for its customers to choose their stakes.
